Innovation of Anhydrous Coloring Process for Polyamide 6 Filament

With the increasing pressure of environmental protection, the clean production of nylon 6 filament has been carried out, and the water free coloring process has attracted more and more attention. Today, Highsun will talk with you about this hot topic in the industry.

At present, the dyeing of nylon 6 filament in nylon industry is still the dip dyeing and pad dyeing at the later stage of spinning. The dyes used include disperse dyes and acid dyes. This method is not only inseparable from water, but also has high energy consumption and high cost. The pollution of printing and dyeing waste water in the later stage is very troublesome.

The color masterbatch was prepared with pigment as colorant and melt spun with nylon 6 chips to obtain nylon 6 color yarn. The whole spinning process does not need a drop of water, which is green and environmentally friendly. It is a popular technology in recent years, but its spinnability and levelness are not perfect.

Disperse dyes or easily sublimated pigments are used as colorants in the vacuum sublimation dyeing process. They are sublimated into gas at high temperature or vacuum conditions, adhering to the surface of nylon 6 filament and diffusing to the interior of the fiber. Finally, the dyeing process is completed.

This process does not consume water, but there are very few types of dyes and pigments that can be used to color nylon 6 filaments. The control of the sublimation speed will affect the leveling and dye uptake to a certain extent, which has high requirements on the equipment. Although there is no problem of water pollution, but the pollution to equipment, environment and operators cannot be ignored.

Supercritical carbon dioxide dyeing does not consume water. Hydrophobic disperse dyes can be dissolved in supercritical carbon dioxide to dye nylon 6 filament from . Compared with water dyeing, the dyeing time is shorter, and the whole dyeing process can be completed on one equipment only by adjusting the pressure and temperature, but the influence of oligomers on dyeing performance cannot be effectively solved.

The advantages of organic solvent dyeing of nylon 6 filament are that water is not needed, energy consumption is low, and production efficiency is high. Besides, it has found a dyeing medium to replace water.

Highsun has been engaged in the production and R & D of nylon 6 for 36 years. The production of in-situ polymerized nylon 6 Black chips does not need any adding and mixing equipment. The ordinary one-step spinning machine can spin civil fine denier pearl black nylon 6 filament below 1.1d. It has good spinnability, excellent dyeing uniformity and no color difference between the previous batch and the later batch. The gray card grade of fastness to sunlight and washing is above 4.5.

Highsun in-situ polymerized pearl black nylon 6 chips can spin fine denier nylon 6 in-situ black silk with a minimum of 1.1d. There is no color difference between batches. The spinnability, water washing resistance and daily color fastness (gray level) of Highsun in-situ polymerized pearl black nylon 6 chips can reach above 4.5 grade. It can be used in the processing of pure spinning, blended and interwoven fabrics with outstanding advantages.

Nylon 6 in situ black silk can be processed into full stretch yarn and air change yarn, and woven fabrics such as pure spinning Taslon, Nissin, Oxford cloth, twill cloth, etc. It is especially suitable for the processing of sportswear, down jacket, socks, bra and bag fabrics. It is characterized by wear resistance, high strength, elastic recovery, and can maintain elegant pearl black appearance after repeated washing and sun exposure.

Nylon 6 in situ black yarn is blended with viscose fiber, polyester fiber, spandex, cotton and wool in a certain proportion. The blended yarn is used for warp and weft yarn. It can be processed into high elastic fabrics such as viscose/ polyamide, nylon/ polyester Vaseline, wool/ polyamide and polyamide/ ammonia. It is thick, firm, tough and durable. It is especially suitable for the processing of coats and overcoats in winter and spring.

Nylon 6 in-situ black silk can also be processed with other fibers into interwoven fabrics such as nylon/ cotton and nylon/ polyester on air-jet loom. The specifications include plain, twill and semi gloss series. It is mainly used for the processing of windbreaker, cotton clothing, jacket, T-shirt and other styles of clothing. It feels soft, smooth and full. The fabric surface is bright and glossy.
